• A deep and demonstrated understanding of distributed systems, including containerised microservices and highly scalable web applications
• Advanced (admin-level) knowledge of Kubernetes in production
• Required qualifications to be familiar within this role include configuration and maintenance of Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) resources (e.g. subnets security groups, permissions policies, etc.). Also well versed in the configuration of EC2, Fargate, SQS, RDS, API Gateway.
• Leverage AWS capabilities (scalability, elasticity, and high availability) to assist in transition from a physical to virtual architecture.

• Coaching and mentoring junior engineers
